Why wait for the competition to make the first move, to watch them,emulate them then follow,  even in the beginning. That's the reality!

Look at that position as a potential customer or investor. Will they come to you or the business that was first? It's all about the one that shows innovation because they are likely, if popular in their product and service,  to be the market influencers. That means setting the landscape that others will have to play on and take time to change.

Ask yourself,  what's stopping you being that business? Yes it means slightly more risk on investment, treading into areas that may have previously been unexplored?

But focus instead on the rewards. The immediacy of brand elevation, influencing the customer trends with your business at the centre. As you real the others are planning how to catch up or get ahead.

But you've got the foundations and as you finesse further it's that which keeps the lead. Not standing but continuously evolving the offering. Don't forget to measure however; confirming that changes are the right ones. If you see backwards patterns,  that's the indication to refine the plan.

Forward looking, thinking and planning wins,  so long as you keep sight on performance!
