How Do You Want Your Business to be Described?
We all want our business to be described as the best there is, question is , what does "best mean. You see it means different things to your customers, based on their priorities.
Investors similarly are looking for their areas of interest and suppliers want someone good to deal. All are looking for you to meet their needs!
With the right strategies and organisational approach, all of these individual areas can have their needs fulfilled.
Give great customer service and sales will grow, as will the brand. Work well with suppliers on cost and pipeline to ensure a continuous flow of cost effective quality to your customers. Again a support to revenue growth.
And all of this makes an attractive proposition to investors. Whether people looking to back financially or others looking to partner with you. Who knows, it might even be to look attractive for acquisition?
So right from the off you need to understand all the elements in each of these areas considered as best. That comes about from great engagement with all of these individual groups.
Working with them on key metrics that they would call effective. This moves away from anecdotes into hard facts on performance. And that is very much brand enhancing.
It's also a great approach to benchmark and measure progress to aspirations. Again by showing you're meeting these it confirms your business as sound, just as it convinces others you're a viable proposition.
Also good if you're looking to diversify into new areas. A well respected brand can do with relative ease!
So when you reflect on what's "best" ,have a think on some of the above.
