How to Find Your Pathways to Success!

I'm going to talk about routesto success. Whilst sometimes it may not feel like it, they exist all around you. People, situations,  business,  world developments.

It's really all about how we look at them. A simple occurrence to one person,  could be a major opening for another, depending on their personal preferences and ambitions.

No two people are completely alike and even those with similar aspirations will, through their character, take different routes to get there.

After all individuality is the right of everyone and is something we should all recognise and respect.

To practise is to understand your inner ambitions. It may be career, building confidence or being someone in the community.

Reflect first on the characteristics of the role you aspire to. But not just to emulate but in fact make something even better. After all, it's not about just following but creating futures and environments which become synonymous with your actions.

That's the real measure of success, isn't it?

Next it's about who can help the journey. Is it a coach, someone you look up to or even peers and management. The reality is, if they can also gain , the support will be stronger.

Think about what part they play in your progress and how on the way, or when you achieve your goals,  there's a benefit to them. Most leaders have got where they are through this route.

Then there's situations. These little gems that can appear and go , so you have to be ready. That means at least identifying things which, if they occur, lend themselves to your personal progress.

A project,  a challenging situation, a gap in responsibility. You get where I'm coming from, that seat you put yourself forward for.

Hesitantly, momentarily questioning why but knowing you have the capability. That's the real test and which builds you. Perhaps using skills you've learned and having to apply in a different way.

Or to share ideas which up til now have only ever circulated in your own end. How will you deal with questions and challenges to that great unveiling?

There's the situation example right there. The test of character,  being able to take critique and adulation in equal amounts. To accept valid points and to engage action plans and people yo help you.

This us not weakness but leadership. No-one can do it all on their own and recognising that , in itself, gains respect.

A few little things to think about but don't take too long. That situation I mentioned may appear anytime soon. Be ready!!
