How to Strip Supply Costs without Impacting Business

When you look at supplier costs,  don't just look at what they charge you but also,  what it costs to manage them.

Problem suppliers cause problems which increases cost through disputes, corrective action and possibly leads to your own sales pipeline being impacted!

In addition there will always be situations of overcharging where incorrect pricing applied, goods and services not being delivered or costs for ceased services continuing.

All of which if addressed in a more comprehensive manner will improve margins.

But looking forward,  it's also about working with suppliers who base their services on value returns. Improving discounts against increasing spend,  providing value add services to reduce administration costs and passing through lower costs based on aggregation.

These are the suppliers with whom you want to engage. Those who truly want to partner and put their clients foremost in their strategy.
