The New Youth
Years ago someone of a certain age trying to retain their youth, whether in behaviour, style or looks was immediately diagnosed as having a mid-life crisis.
But recently and probably amplified by the lockdown, the generation gap has all but disappeared.
Middle- aged people dancing on Tik- Tok ( which still seems wrong) , childish pranks and generally trying to get in on the scene owned by their children!
Let's face it we live in a world where literally anything goes. Entertainment and media is so broad.
Nee trends are no longer limited to a certain age group. So one or two still smack of people trying too hard to regain their youth or at least embarrass their kids.
But on the whole why should there be any boundaries. After all we are creating common interests, languages and behaviours across the whole life spectrum.
The great thing is that technology and the platforms we use have brought greater appreciation of each other's generation.
A greater respect between the old and young and ultimately the creation of a community where demographic no longer has discrimination.
And in my eyes anything that builds community, understanding and yes youthfulness is worth embracing!
