Can We Change?

Despite the fact that we have too many despotic and one major despotic and idiotic world leader,  my faith in humanity stays strong.

Perhaps naivete on my part but I'd like to think that the caring and kindness shown across most of the globe during covid, will continue?!

If we look on social media then you would assume,  of course s it will last! But similarly we know that the persona of many on social media is very different from the real thing.

I don't think there's any doubt that as soon as fast food chains reopen, there will be non-social distance queues right round the block.

In this world memories are short, especially where they conflict with convenience!

But let's just think about this. Firstly business operations will change. They will adopt learnings from this period to improve and be more resilient.

That means variation to customer engagement models and supply chains. So in effect, regardless of what we want to do may still, for a period of time, be influenced by the legacy of the virus.

But surely we don't need a virus to give us a wake-up call? Or do we?

We should actively be looking to improve the way we live everyday. A staple diet of technology, exercise and dialogue ( face to face). Now wouldn't that be novel?

Then we can maybe turn our attention to the world around us. Continue to keep it clean and healthy for us to continue enjoying those walks we've all become so accustomed to.

Then there's the politics. Seriously folks we can do a lit better in some countries. We want inspirational caring leaders, not halfwits who bully and demean their people and country.

It is sad that in recent times so many great nations have been put in decline by the people expected to lead.

But we have some leaders who are inspirational and altruistic in their leadership. Perhaps they are the fiture face of global policy?

After all do we really need to be socially competitive? Do we need to be nationalistic or is that just to support the ego of the despot?

On a more personal level let us strike that balance between real life and social media. To focus on our own activities and memories rather than our lives be consumed by posts and reposts.

The time for change is here.tje question is will we?
