Unusual times call for unusual measures. Over the space of weeks the world has been changed in a way that will shape it for decades to come.
Orthodox practices around leadership are now out the window. It's time to rewrite the leadership textbook.

Whilst focus has been on cyber technology, the threats around that and the general reliance on tech, a microscopic germ and it's many billion associates has brought the world to a standstill.
So what good will be borne from this episode. As far as leadership is concerned the focus nimy be about rebuild, confidence and sustainability.
Complacency has to be packed off and focus brought into awareness, caution and good old fashioned risk management.

But that is part of the problem. Too many of our leaders have a single track focus. True leaders build an organisation with strong skillsets maintaining both sales and assurance on equal amounts.
Leaders must ensure a sustainable sales pipeline. That means strength at the front end and all the way back through the supply chain.
Constantly assuring and importantly assessing where global events , no matter how early, could have an impact on that.
Let us hope that the present events are not just dismissed as one of those things. It isn't...in fact it is a very very big thing!
So let's encourage leadership which learns, looks forward, plans and assures. That way we should all be good!
