Only ego is self made

Ouch-have I just insulted thousands of entrepreneurs and leaders in my audience?

I don't think so.

Why? Because entrepreneurs and leaders all recognise that they got where they are from inspiration and motivation from others as well as their own ambition and drive.

Whether parents, friends, celebrities or business leaders, all of us take note of experience and visionaries.

We don't necessarily have to emulate them but by understanding their journeys, we may be able to relate to our own.

By doing so we can build a perspective and compare points in the journey to success.

Of course as we proceed we get into our own learning environment. Understanding the business we lead, analysing the market, what customers think of us and let's not forget watching and understanding the competition.

These are all things which make the leader because one day you will take pride in the knowledge that others are inspired by you just as you were inspired.

If you ever needed anything to boost your ego then surely that is it?
