The Prosecco Plunge Spa

Don't you just love it when you're in a hotel and it has a beautiful spa. Low lighting round the pool surrounded by plunge pools, hot tubs, sauna and steam rooms.

You think wonderful, a relaxing experience awaits after a busy day. You enter the spa in your white towelling robe and find yourself in spa rush hour.

In amongst the swimsuit clad bodies there are glimpses of the pool. The plunge pool has been plunged out of water and there's no need for a steam room, it's so busy.

Clearly my plan was not exclusive but very inclusive !!

I patiently stand in the unofficial queue to the pool. Give it a couple of hours and I may be able to dip a toe in.

Interestingly most of them are not hotel residents. This is the gathering of the spa-trippers. Those who take the time to enjoy a prosecco lunch then soak for the rest of the day, still relaxed from the earlier massage.

And so you have it, have a spa have a crowd. The midweek happy trend. No complaint from me, I am such a person.
