Why Wouldn't You?
Why wouldn't you want to create an organisation in which every activity, interaction and plan, supported the overall strategic objectives?
I've seen first hand, especially in large corporates, politics which obfuscate and distracted from corporate goals. Driven largely by middle management who want to elevate their own position.
This happens due to lack of leadership assurance. Too many execs floating around at higher levels and either not choosing or being kept away from critical operational data.
In this day and age of technology and AI, there's no reason for any leader not to understand key metrics. At the very least those which determine how the business is performing and where its headed!
Dashboards which provide the insight and if required that deeper dive. Guaranteed, even knowing these can be produced would change behaviours for the better.
It also brings the exec suite closer to the office and production floors. Enabling a shortened link and understanding which can only be motivational for the whole team?
