Get along to every event you can and advertise your entry to the market with a clear message on what you're about!
Competition will be watching and that's exactly what you want. It shows you have made an impact and if they're interested then so too could their customers! No matter how established the competition is, take the game to them and show what you're about. Make them compete with you not the other way around.
Strategy is paramount. Sure you need to focus on the here and now but what are you focused on if you have no plan or objectives? Planning makes you ready and if you're really motivated you will soon be reviewing that plan such is your success!
Cost control is important at all times but especially at the startup stage. Understand early where your costs are being focused and refine to ensure every penny spent has a return.
Customers are what you depend on. Have that clear engagement plan and really go out your way to delight. Whether a click to your website or a visit to your shop, make every one an event people will remember and what to repeat. More so they will tell their friends.
